Our Story

On January 29, 2019 our lives were forever changed when our 1 lb 4 oz baby was born.

About

When our son Carter Godwin Preston was born we had no idea what we were up against. He spent over 226 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) fighting for his life. After many bouts with pneumonia, multiple blood transfusions and chronic lung disease, he is a toddler who has since thrived at home!

We are forever grateful to everyone that supported us and cared for our son. Carter G. Cares Inc. is a nonprofit organization that we have created to bless other families going through similar situations. We know the hardships that one may face while trying to keep the faith during the trying times. It is our goal to provide resources to NICU families while also educating the community on issues related to prematurity and high risk pregnancy.

Thanks for your support!
